About Us

The Miracle Foundation was founded in the year 2000 on Mother's Day by Caroline Boudreaux. Unable to bear the poverty she had witnessed among Indian orphans, she returned from a trip to India and started The Miracle Foundation.

What We Do

The Miracle Foundation is an organization dedicated to empowering children to reach their full potential, one orphan at a time. We are making a significant impact on the lives of orphaned children in India by:

• Raising the standard of living for the children in orphanages
• Reducing the number of non-orphaned children living in orphanages

The Miracle Foundation renovates existing orphanages, builds new ones, raises money for construction and finds sponsors for our children. Because the effort is so focused, there is little overhead. In India, our money goes a long way towards healthy food, tuition, better living conditions, clothing, and medical care. Love, affection, and hope for a bright future come from our incredible staff, ambassadors, and sponsors. The Miracle Foundation currently operates four Children's Homes and one home for unwed mothers.

Before and After

Before The Miracle Foundation, the children received one meal a day. Each child in our orphanages receives three, nutritious meals every day.

Typical sleeping conditions in the orphanages are wooden cots with no mattresses, blankets or pillows. The Miracle Foundation ensures that each child has a comfortable bed where they can sleep soundly, feeling warm, safe and nurtured.

Child Sponsorship

In addition to caring, educating and loving these children, we also provide a monthly giving program that connect sponsors directly with an indvidual child. Sponsors can choose an child at one of our orphanages and begin the intimate process of exchanging letters, receiving updates and becoming a global parent.

Lunch & Learn Program

Many villagers in India are so poverty-stricken that they are unable to provide for their own children and often abandon them at orphanages hoping their children will have a better future. Our Lunch & Learn program supports keeping these families together by giving them an option. Children enrolled in the program can attend local government schools where The Miracle Foundation provides them with school uniforms, books, two meals a day, and after school daycare at the orphanage.

Transparency

One of the goals of our organization is to be as open and honest about the work that we do. We understand the stigma surrounding giving to organizations that do work overseas. The beautiful part about The Miracle Foundation is that you can actually visit the child you sponsor and see first hand the work that we're doing. You can do all of this through our Voluntourism program.

Why India?

There are currently 25 million orphaned children in India -- equal to the inhabitants of the state of Texas. Most orphans in India live in overcrowded, under-funded, government orphanages.
